Civil services are hailed as one of the most coveted jobs in India. It is the gateway to services like services like IAS, IPS, IFS etc. Though attractive, clearing civil services are the hardest nut to crack. But despite that number of aspiring students from Tamil Nadu and across the country apply for the examination. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognised university for applying in civil services examinations. You could also apply for this exam if you are in your final year of graduation.
Students from Tamil Nadu can appear in annually conducted Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam to get entry into the ranks of civil servants in India. After clearing UPSC exam you can become an IAS/IPS/IFS officer. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) also conducts the examination to select applicants for the post of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies and Assistant Director of Rural Development Department which are included in Group I Services.
